Together for Arizona is a collective for innovations that improve outcomes for families and children. We bring people together in a structured, inclusive way to design and implement solutions that are steppingstones to improved child and family welfare in Arizona.
Our vision is that all children and families in Arizona are safe, stable, and flourishing.
We advance that goal by facilitating collaboration across the child and family wellbeing landscape to streamline testing and scaling of effective solutions to strengthen prevention services.
Prevention is vitally important in strengthening families, reducing the number of referrals to child welfare agencies and helping to safely lower the number of children entering the foster care system. When families are supported and well, children thrive.
Families' voices should be heard and elevated in conversations about child and family wellbeing.
Families should have access to the resources they say they need, when and how they say they need them.
Seeking support is brave.
Families should be served by trustworthy providers who will support them in thriving.
Strengthening connections among providers working in service of child and family wellbeing is necessary to ensure families can access the resources and support they need.
Facilitate innovation and co-creation of strategies and solutions with system-impact experts (adults, parents, caregivers and family members who provide their personal experiences in using or participating in the child wellbeing system).
Convene those working to improve various aspects of the child and family welfare systems to increase alignment, strengthen collaboration, increase impact and reduce redundancy.
Drive system change with the creation of an easily accessible and navigable network of support for families.
Engage public and private partners to ensure scalability and sustainability of what works, and sunset what doesn't.
Foster a statewide culture of support for families.
Ensure sufficient resources to support families exist throughout the state.
Increase utilization of trusted, effective resources and support services.

In 2015, Casey Family Programs-Arizona initiated a conversation about improving outcomes for children and families at risk. What began as widespread agreement about the need to address child safety and well-being in a cross-sectoral manner evolved into a committed group of stakeholders who formed the Collective Impact for Child Safety and Wellbeing, which was renamed Together for Arizona in 2023.
A new path leading to a better place with regard to child safety and well-being requires profound systems change only possible with strong, coordinated effort involving multiple public and private collaborators and close engagement with families that have been involved in the child-welfare system and/or self-identify as needing or potentially needing various support.Together for Arizona brings together multi-agency responses to help families get what they needed when they need it to achieve and sustain wellbeing.
